Churros have long been enjoyed across Europe and the United States, and have finally made their way to New Zealand.
Churros are a traditional Spanish dessert. A fried, cylindrical doughnut, the churro is typically served dusted and accompanied by a rich chocolate sauce.
Toro Churro tracked down a winning recipe from an elderly Spaniard before setting up shop in Auckland. These crispy, doughnut-esque snacks were an instant hit, and have helped the Toro Churro gang dominate events in Auckland, Tauranga and Hamilton.
